We're Here to Listen
Everyone has an idea of who they are, who they once were, and who they would like to be. The dream of being one’s ideal self can be achieved or hindered with one of the most powerful things we hold, our thoughts. These thoughts can be from the past, from our experiences or consist of beliefs taught to us by others. Our thoughts impact how we feel and how we behave.
My goal, as a therapist, is to help you find solutions that work for you on an individual basis. I work with you as you wade through the sea of non-beneficial and irrational thoughts and experiences to find resolve, comfort, and enlightenment. There are no magical thoughts or quick fixes. However, using various techniques and long-standing approaches with proven results, we can work together to figure out what thoughts and behaviors are the ones holding you back from being your best self and living your best life. I use a number of approaches from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, Psychodynamic to Hypnosis to assist client’s in working through current conflicts in life and bringing about their desires for themselves.
Whether you want to talk, are looking for support through difficult times, or looking to make real change in your life, we can work together to achieve dreams, meet goals and rise above the ashes. Using my background as a mental health therapist, a certified addictions counselor, and specializations in spirituality, grief, multiculturalism, and hypnosis, I am sure we can find a way to work together toward your goal of well-being.
I am Tiff Majette, a Marriage and Family Therapy graduate.
I understand that it can be a difficult decision to begin therapy for many people, however, being able to find a genuine and intentional person with integrity to support you along your therapeutic journey should not be one. I can assure you that my goals are to support you through your life challenges and help you reach your goals. I am passionate about mental health and breaking stigmas about therapy for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ populations.
My therapeutic approach is holistic and collaborative. I like to provide a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for all clients seeking change, growth, and wellness. I utilize therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am certified in sex therapy and grief counseling.
Learning how to navigate this thing called life can be hard, let’s do it together.
Tiff.
As a Marriage and Family Therapy intern, I hope to help individuals, couples, and families normalize and navigate challenging emotions and conflicts that arise in their lives. My aim is to facilitate a safe environment for you to explore and openly share difficult emotions and unmet needs so we can build positive healthy relationships together. Prior to pursuing a career in marriage and family therapy, I served in the U.S Army, so I am intimately familiar with the unique challenges couples and families face in the military.
It is important to acknowledge that traumatic experiences can impact the quality of our relationships. Childhood abuse and neglect, serious illness, combat experiences, and infidelity often have long-lasting effects on our ability to effectively communicate our feelings and needs to loved ones. By strengthening our present attachment bonds and tackling unhelpful thought patterns, we can work together to decrease traumatic stress and establish healing relationships.
Healing can be a lifelong journey, but with deliberate small steps, I believe that anyone can find peace and develop more fulfilling relationships with their loved ones.
