Dr. Rose Shelton is a licensed and nationally certified professional counselor. Dr. Rose graduated from George Washington University with an undergraduate degree (BA) and attended Howard University for Military Science which allowed her to be commissioned into the Army Officer Corp after graduation. Dr. Rose holds an MBA, a graduate degree in International Relations, a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision with a focus in multi-culture and social justice advocacy competency. She has been certified in hypnotherapy and in addictions counseling. Dr. Rose has her own private practice called Thought Center, LLC where she provides supervision for clinicians and counseling services to diverse populations.
She has published four books: In the Morning When I Rise: Loss to Anointing - a story about Dr. Rose’s daughter’s death to a rare kidney cancer and Dr. Rose’s self-discovery; I Am She is a tutorial for women’s self-defining; Law of First Thought is a powerful awakening to the understanding of the mind, identity, and healthy evolution; and In Loving Memory: A Eulogy for Rayford John Grady, a love letter honoring her father’s legacy and light. She has published articles in Exposure Magazine and in the DC Line.
Dr. Rose Shelton enjoys using her voice and knowledge to advocate for change and the progression of self-development. She provides regular supervision and professional development classes.
